Is it possible to stimulate the telomerase through meditation thus being able to control it rather than taking the pills which will cause cancer?

Of course, every aspect of ourselves can be controlled.
It should be noted however that the stimulation of the telomerase can cause cancer by itself if you cause to much stimulation.
Which is why the pills cause cancer, in general, it over stimulates it and the cells multiply to excess, like the average for kids per family jumping from 1 or 2 to 12 it becomes a problem.

There's no need to even bother with that. Whenever you can achieve a certain state of meditation, it is equivalent to "dreamless sleep" where the body regenerates the most, so that you will retain your youthfulness longer. Also it depends on what you eat, as certain foods produce more ash after they are digested. Red meat is harder for the body to break down and should be altogether avoided, supplementing chicken or fish, since if you were to just go from being an everyday meat eater to no meat it wouldn't be too healthy for you.
You will learn more about the health benefits of true meditation as you progress.
